Tigers grading will be on SATURDAY 16th July. This will also be a fun day and all tigers are allowed to invite 2 of their friends along. It will be fun and games and there will be fruit and milk available on the day including face painting.

Adults grading will be Saturday 23rd July for all kickboxing/Taekwon do students.

Gradings and new membership cards

hi folks

All details for gradings up to January next year will be handed out on Mondays class.

To be eligible to grade you must be at training on a regular basis.

Those training for one hour a week will only be able to grade every 6 months.

Everyone training two or more hours per week are entitled to grade every three months up to blue belt.

A new membership card will be coming shortly to coincide with licenses and the cards will be marked at each class for regular attendance.

Training starts back on Thursday 6th January. All classes are back to normal so lets see you all there.

it was a great day and learned so much from him as he is a great inspirational speaker. This was his last seminar but i will make a point of going to see him again in the near future.

Bag Packing At Asda Falkirk

A big well done to everyone involved in Bag Packing in Asda, Falkirk.

We have raised a good £358.00 for all the kids in our Taekwon do classes and this money will go towards t shirts and the next competition.

Here we have Adam, Alishia, corey, Jade, Hannah, Logan, Alex, Aarron and Morgan who all did a terrific job.

ISAKA Tournament

A big congratulations to the two competitors from the Falkirk Garry Shaw Martial Arts School

who fought well and went on to win trophys today.

Colin Mcghee won gold in sparring in the senior mens white/ yellow/ green belt division .

Tam Hamilton won silver in sparring in the senior mens Green/ blue/ red belt division.

both fighters done well on the day and impressed everyone that watched their fights. Fabulous effort on the day.

roll on the next comp and i hope more from our school take part so as we can dominate the Kickboxing circuit.

WKA Tournament

well done to all the competitors from the Falkirk club that went to the WKA tournament and fought extremely well.

All competitors went up against higher belts as it was an open competition and our guys had held their own and going on to win medals. well done all.

pictured is colin mcghee a yellow belt against a first degree black belt and fighting a second degree black belt and going on to pick up the silver.

tam hamilton and james mcghee faught extremley well and used this as a warm up for the next comp the end of february.

Squad Training

Hi folks

squad training is being arranged for us all at Falkirk and venues will be announced shortly. Saturday afternoons 1 - 4pm seems to be a good time for all and this is what we are aiming for.

the squad training will be held once a month for 3 hours and will cosist of pad work, kickshield work, a lot of cardiovascular work and sparring.
the cost for squad training will be £10.00
for sparring everyone must have a licence and if you have applied for one then you are covered.

Another year has passed and the years seem to go in quicker the older we get.

The last class of the year is on Monday 21st December, and we start back on Thursday 7th January 2010.

Black Belt awards night

the black belt awards evening willbe on Saturday 21st November and will be held in the Stirling rowing club, Riverside, Stirling. times will be confirmed.

There will be a disco and buffet and tickets are priced at £10.00.
